meminodvalery.jpgDr Valéry Merminod is program director of the Information Systems Management MSc at SKEMA Business School. He has a PhD in Management and is a graduate of Essec business school, Telecom Paris engineering school and Dauphine university.

He has worked as a manager for Ernst & Young and as Research & Development Information Systems manager for the SEB group (Moulinex, Tefal, Rowenta, Krups…). As a consultant for Ernst & Young, he has worked for Total, Alstom and Schneider Electric.

His research is focused on information systems contribution in the context of product innovation.

MSc Information Systems Management Outline
Jointly designed with SAP, E&Y, but also PMI France-Sud and the Club Informatique des Grandes Entreprises Françaises (CIGREF), this program’s purpose is to train highly qualified professionals in Information Systems (consulting, support…).
Thus :

* Courses on “SAP” will be held on the premises of SAP Labs France at Sophia Antipolis : they will provide the application dimension together with an advanced approach to diagnosis techniques in a heterogeneous IT environment ;
* E&Y courses (leader on the French market for Information Systems consulting) will be delivered by the firm’s Senior consultants and partners : they will address Informations Systems Audit and Consulting, but also the legal, tax and security aspects of these systems ;
* Courses in Project Management will be given by the Honorary Chairman of the PMI France Sud Chapter.

Your Future Career

The world of Information Systems is experiencing strong growth and thus a lack of high-level skills. Designed with reference to recruitment needs within this market, this program will also enable you to further your professional networking within the world of Information Systems : the majority of your speakers on a day-to-day basis will consist of Senior Consultants and Partners, Chief Information Officers (CIO) in large groups. This program opens doors for you to CIOs from all the large companies for which SAP is the leading world supplier of management software suites, as well as all information systems consulting firms, either large or small, which provide assistance in the implementation of this software.

Conditions admission

ONE-YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE

For students with a four-Year Bachelor's degree or equivalent
In order to apply for a one-year MSc program you must satisfy the following requirements:
* Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Honours degree or substantial professional experience).
* English language test to prove a minimum level of English: TOEFL 580 (paper-based), 237 (computer-based) or 92 (internetbased) / TOEIC 830 / IELTS 6.5.The test is waived for students who have a Bachelor’s degree from an English speaking university.
* A GMAT or GRE score will be to the candidate’s advantage.

The final step of your application process will be a face-to-face, or telephone, interview.

TWO-YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE

For students with a three-year university degree
Year 1: MSc Prepapratory Program
Year 2: MSc
In order to apply for the two-year MSc program you must satisfy the following requirements:
*Three-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
*A TOEFL/TOEIC or IELTS score report proving a sufficient level of English.
*A GMAT or GRE score will be to the candidate’s advantage.
The final step of your application process will be a face-to-face, or telephone, interview.

* Dedicated Project Management Training to prepare for CAPM or PMP certification from PMI

The application fee is 120 euros (non-refundable)

The tuition fee is 11,985 euros for each MSc.

The tuition fee for the one-year MSc Preparatory Program AND an MSc is 17,000 euros.

Estimated monthly cost of living:
Accommodation : 400 euros
Food : 300 euros
Transportation: bus pass for students (Antibes-Sophia): Free!
Recreational activities: 150 euros
TOTAL: 850 euros

Bear in mind that 5 or 6 books will be needed each semester (on average 50 euros each).
SKEMA Scholarships

SKEMA offers students with very good potential the opportunity to be granted scholarships for excellence that may entitle them to a rebate on their tuition of up to 5,000 euros.

The scholarship for excellence is based on merit according to the following criteria:

Excellent GPA
