Fondée en 2018, Lisaqua est une start-up deeptech à impact qui élève des crevettes dans des fermes aquacoles indoor terrestres, sans impact sur l'environnement.
Sa mission : produire mieux, avec moins de ressources.
Grâce à sa technologie brevetée, Lisaqua propose les premières crevettes fraîches, garanties sans antibiotiques ni conservateurs, élevées en France.
Après 5 ans de R&D, Lisaqua a lancé la première ferme de crevettes en France, à Saint-Herblain (Nantes) et produit 10 tonnes de crevettes par an. L’entreprise passe l’échelle supérieure avec la plus grande ferme de crevettes d’Europe, en Seine-et-Marne en 2025 (500t/an).
L’ambition de Lisaqua est de devenir leader de l’aquaculture saine et durable, et déployer un réseau de fermes en France et en Europe pour produire plusieurs dizaines de milliers de tonnes par an. Les crevettes de Lisaqua, locales et respectueuses de l’environnement, seront ainsi accessibles au plus grand nombre.

Context
Founded in 2018, Lisaqua is an impact-driven startup that farms shrimp in indoor land-based aquaculture facilities with zero environmental impact. Its mission: produce better with fewer resources.
Thanks to its patented technology, Lisaqua offers the first fresh shrimp farmed in France, guaranteed free of antibiotics and preservatives.
Lisaqua is part of the European doctoral network SwitchFloc (MSCA), a program dedicated to developing sustainable aquaculture systems through Biofloc Technology (BFT). This PhD provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of fundamental research and industrial application, on a cutting-edge technology that is transforming Penaeus vannamei shrimp farming.
Lisaqua is a GreenTech Innovation awardee, recognized by the FrenchTech AGRI20 program, part of the EIT Food European accelerator, and a member of La Ferme Digitale.

Thesis objectives
Lisaqua is part of the SwitchFloc European Doctoral Network (MSCA), a program developing sustainable aquaculture systems through Biofloc Technology (BFT). This PhD provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of fundamental research and industrial application, on a cutting-edge technology transforming Penaeus vannamei shrimp farming.
We are looking for a PhD candidate to study the following objectives :
* Study the impact of bioflocs on growth and health of Penaeus vannamei under commercial farming conditions
* Identify key microbial and physico-chemical parameters to optimize performance
* Develop innovative strategies to stabilize biofloc quality and improve production sustainability


Supervision et encadrement
This thesis will allow you to benefit from a high level supervision and an international scientific network :
* Joint supervision by Lisaqua and European academic partners (UPV Spain, UiT Norway)
* Participation in the MSCA Doctoral Network with international mobility and advanced training
* Hands-on work in an industrial facility, fully integrated with production teams

Profil recherché

Candidate profile
* Master’s degree or equivalent in aquaculture, marine biology, microbiology or environmental sciences
* Interest in applied research and sustainable aquaculture innovation
* Skills in data analysis/statistics (R or equivalent)
* English proficiency required, French is a plus
* Open to international candidates (MSCA mobility rule applies)


Practical information
* Contract : 36 months thesis
* Start date : June / July 2026
* Localisation : Saint-Herblain (44) including 3 months of training at UPV Spain and 3 months training at UiT Norway
* Salary : Fully funded by MSCA network
