Senior Engineer / Manager microfluidic product development (H/F)
Société : Stilla Technologies Lieu : Val-de-Marne (Île-de-France)
Présentation de l'entreprise
Stilla Technologies, a Bio-Rad company, is a Paris-based European biotechnology company that focuses on accelerating the development of next-generation genetic tests by providing biologists with tools for high-resolution genetic analysis.
Stilla Technologies was founded in 2013 and is now part of Bio-Rad Laboratories as LSG-Paris entity.
Since 2016, Stilla Technologies/Bio-Rad LSG-Paris has been providing research organizations specializing in molecular biology and genetic analysis. LSG-Paris has developed a range of digital PCR instruments (Naica®, Nio® and now QX700™ systems), which, combined with microfluidic chips, dedicated reagents, and advanced data analysis software, allow the analysis of an unrivalled number of genetic biomarkers (multiplexing) with very high sensitivity and precision. This cutting-edge technology paves the way for new precision genetic tests in a wide range of applications such as liquid biopsy tests for cancer diagnostics, pre-natal testing, Gene Therapy, infectious disease or GMO detection.
Our multi-disciplinary teams in microfluidics, mechanical engineering, biology, and software share a passion for building successful Life Science Products based on deep technological innovation. We aim to empower scientists with pioneering digital PCR solutions to build the future of genetic testing.

Mission
The Sr Engineer/manager microfluidic product development is responsible for the development and full lifecycle management of microfluidic consumables used in advanced digital PCR systems.
In the context of the acquisition of Stilla and the aggressive production ramp-up of our QX700 platform, the primary focus of the role is to ensure product robustness, performance, manufacturability, and sustainability. This position combines strong technical leadership in microfluidics with team management responsibilities. The role leads a team of approximately five engineers and/or technicians and collaborates closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain.
Missions
Product Lifecycle Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Own the technical performance and robustness of commercialized microfluidic consumables.
- Lead investigations of field issues, non-conformities, customer complaints, and performance deviations.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Manage product changes (design updates, component changes, supplier changes) through formal change control processes.
- Ensure continuous improvement of product quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485).
- When required, act as the technical referent for on-market consumables across departments.
Technical Leadership & New Product Development
- Lead the design and development of next-generation microfluidic consumables from concept to commercialization.
- Define product architecture, critical functional requirements, and performance specifications.
- Oversee microfluidic design (fluid routing, droplet generation, mixing, sealing, material compatibility, etc.).
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and cost optimization strategies.
- Supervise verification and validation activities (functional, analytical, reliability, robustness testing).
