Job title of the line manager: IT Department Manager Title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To specify, organize and plan the implementation of an IS project, from the design phase through to deployment, using internal and/or external resources. IT Project Managers may be responsible for ‘Self-Contained’ projects, or ‘Contributor’ projects that form part of a larger ‘Master’ project.

Scope of Activities
To carry out some or all of the following activities:
Take ownership of the project from initial expression of needs through to the billing of the Project Outcome
Develop the General Project Specifications on the basis of the technical specifications provided
Prepare the project costing elements, and define human resources and technical skills requirements
Supervise the drafting of Detailed Project Specifications
Monitor the project design process (customer needs, functional specification, division into work packages, deliverables, acceptance criteria, etc.)
Manage the project by forming, organizing, coordinating and leading the project team in accordance with the scoping note (customer request, budget, lead time, etc.)
Measure project progress by putting in place dashboards, indicators and committee meeting schedule, producing progress reports and communicating on progress
Identify and manage changes
Assess, manage and anticipate project-related risks and hazards by flagging up alerts with line management and the project sponsor
Ensure production of project deliverables
Deliver the project in accordance with the cost, quality and lead time specified in the scoping note
Prepare and provide billing information in accordance with the billing plan agreed with the customer
Ensure that the Project Outcome is billed on completion of the VABF
Ensure provision of the information required for Operation and Maintenance of the outcomes delivered
Consolidate and present feedback at the end of the project
The activities are to be adapted for employees on work/study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.
Address and resolve QSE alerts raised by personnel
Ensure that your team has the skills required for their jobs (QSE training, accreditations, etc.)
